Driveways and Patios
If you are looking to enhance your property with a new driveway, patio or timber decking area there are a few points to consider. Here is a list of surfaces we can install at the front or rear of your property. If installed correctly they can give great service for many years to come. One thing to seriously think about is when companies offer you are cheap job they have to cut corners to save money, and this always shows in the quality. Either the sub-base (the most important factor) is cut back upon, leaving an inferior base that will gradually sink as time goes by. Either that or use untrained workers and sub-par materials on the surface or below.
All our paving, driveways or patio installations are second to none as we use the highest grade materials and excavate to the correct depths, this is especially important if the area will be accessed by traffic, you don’t want tyre tracks appearing in your driveway after your investment. We always excavate a good 18” inches around 50cm to cater for traffic on a new drive. Once dug out the area is backfilled with a type 1 material that is then compressed down to give an excellent base for the sand and pavers to sit for years to come. If you require any perimeter brickwork walls we can do that for you also.
This type of paving is the most popular at the moment, available in all types of colours, designs and materials. It is very versatile and can be used to create some fantastic designs, even personalised to your choosing. The interconnecting blocks can be laid in a multitude of ways with assorted raised kerbstones to set the scene or match your property.
Concrete or imprinted concrete surfaces, drives or patios
Concrete is a very robust and excellent choice for a driveway or patio. With fantastic strength and durability, it will last for years and always look great.
A few options that are available if you want something different are stamped or imprinted concrete surfaces, which can be laid to look like block paving or cobblestones, with less maintenance and the hassle of weeds coming through. Another method that looks good is building a framework with block pavers and fill in the panels with concrete.
The choice of different designs and finishes make concrete a very versatile material to work with and also flexible to add your stamp to the design. sorry for the pun!
There is nothing like sitting on your raised decking over the summer months, admiring your garden or maybe eating and drinking alfresco with friends and family.
We can design a decking area tailored to your garden or patio area, once fitted the timbers can be colour stained, waxed or varnished to match your taste and style. Just imagine your favourite table and chairs perched upon your new decking or sunning yourself on a comfortable sunbed. We aim to make that dream come true with a fantastic, stunning decking complete with balustrades and steps leading onto your garden. Be careful as you might not want to go on holiday again!
